What is a fibreglass or glass fibre pencil?
A fibreglass pencil is a hand tool that can be used to clean and maintain surfaces, in our case cleaning electrical contacts. They feature a propelling action to expose more or less of the fibres depending on the level of abrasiveness you need.
How to use a glass fibre pencil
In order to achieve the best results with a fibreglass pencil, there are certain techniques required. Due to the delicate fibres, gentle brush strokes are recommended, letting the abrasiveness of the fibreglass do the hard work. It is recommended to wear protective gloves and face wear as debris from the fibreglass and material can irritate the skin if it comes into contact.
How to control alter the length of the fibreglass bristles
In order to extend the bristles, rotate the black end clockwise or anticlockwise, depending on whether you want to retract or expose more of the bristles.
